Private Dog Training Lessons
Hands-On Coaching for Owners Who Want to Do the Work
Private dog training lessons are for owners who want to understand the process, not just see the result.
In these sessions, we work directly with you and your dog so you learn how to communicate clearly, reinforce behaviors correctly, and handle real-life situations with confidence. The goal isn’t for your dog to listen to the trainer — it’s for your dog to listen to you.
Private lessons give you the skills to create lasting change at home, on walks, and in everyday environments.
Who Private Dog Training Lessons Are Best For
Private lessons work best when:
- your dog has one or two specific problems
- you’re willing to practice between sessions
- you want to understand the “why” behind the training
- you enjoy being involved in the process
This might look like:
- leash pulling
- recall issues
- jumping
- basic obedience
- settling in the home
- mild reactivity
- improving focus outdoors
When owners follow through, private lessons can create huge progress.
Private Lessons Are Coaching — Not Done-For-You Training
This is important to understand.
Private sessions are designed to teach you how to train your dog. We guide timing, structure, and decision-making so you can apply the work consistently between sessions.
I’ve seen owners make incredible changes simply by learning how to give clearer direction and follow through calmly. Dogs don’t need perfection. They need consistency.
If you’re willing to practice, private lessons work.
When Board and Train May Be the Better Option
Private lessons are not ideal for everyone.
If your schedule is busy, practice time is limited, or your dog’s behavior feels overwhelming, a Board and Train program often produces faster and more reliable progress.
That doesn’t mean you failed. It just means your dog may need more daily structure than lessons alone can provide.
We help you decide which option makes the most sense. The goal is results, not forcing you into the wrong program.
Are Private Lessons Right for you?
Thats what this form it for.
Training at Our Facility With a Fully Fenced Yard
We offer private sessions at our training facility in a completely fenced, controlled environment.
This allows us to introduce distractions in a systematic way instead of overwhelming your dog. We can add movement, people, dogs, and environmental pressure gradually so your dog builds understanding instead of stress.
This controlled space is especially helpful for:
- reactive dogs
- anxious dogs
- dogs that shut down in public
- owners who want faster, cleaner progress
Once skills are solid at the facility, we take training into real locations like neighborhoods, parks, and public spaces so behaviors hold up outside of lessons.
Structure first. Real world second.
What We Work On During Private Lessons
Private dog training lessons commonly address:
- loose leash walking
- recall and off-leash reliability foundations
- impulse control
- greeting manners
- confidence building
- distraction neutrality
- foundational obedience
- household structure
Every plan is customized to your dog, your goals, and your lifestyle.
