Puppy Programs in Knoxville

Early Training That Prevents Problems Before They Start

Most behavior problems don’t appear suddenly. They grow slowly when puppies never learn structure, confidence, or how to handle the world.

Our Puppy Board and Train program in East Tennessee is designed to get ahead of that.

Instead of waiting for issues to show up, we build foundations early so your dog grows into a calm, responsive adult. This program focuses on emotional development, communication, and real-life skills — not just obedience commands.

Puppies aren’t small adult dogs. They need a different approach.

That’s why this program is structured differently from traditional board and train.

The Grow Up Program: A Hybrid Puppy Board and Train

This is one of my favorite programs.
And I wish more people did it.

Stage One: Under 16 Weeks Old — Foundations

This stage is about building the right picture early.

We focus on:

  • crate training
  • confidence building
  • engagement with the owner
  • calm exposure to new environments
  • handling and body awareness
  • early impulse control

No pressure. No drilling. Just setting the dog up right.

This is where puppies learn that the world is safe, guidance is clear, and humans provide direction.

Stage Two: Around 6 Months — Structure and Clarity

This is where things usually fall apart for most owners.

Teething. Big feelings. Selective hearing. Energy spikes. Testing boundaries.

We step back in before bad habits lock in and build:

  • obedience foundations
  • leash skills
  • impulse control
  • neutrality around distractions
  • structure inside the home
  • follow-through on commands

Most behavior problems I see in Knoxville started as missed puppy foundations. This second stage closes that gap.

Not Sure what options is right for you?
Thats what the form is for.

Why Our Board and Train Is Different

Many puppy programs focus only on socialization or basic commands.

We focus on state of mind first, then skills.

A confident puppy learns faster. A calm puppy makes better decisions. A puppy that understands structure is less likely to develop reactivity, anxiety, or chaos later.

Your puppy learns how to:

  • regulate excitement
  • settle after stimulation
  • engage with you instead of the environment
  • handle new situations without panic

This creates smoother adolescence and fewer surprises.

Supervised Socialization Done Correctly

Socialization isn’t exposure for the sake of exposure.

We provide structured, supervised interactions that teach puppies how to communicate appropriately with other dogs. Puppies learn boundaries, body language, and how to move between excitement and calm.

This prevents many of the issues owners see later:

  • overexcitement
  • fear responses
  • rude greetings
  • frustration around other dogs

Good communication skills change everything.

Constant Updates During Your Dog’s Stay

One of the biggest complaints I hear from owners who used other board and train programs is this:

“I had no idea what was happening while my dog was there.”

We don’t operate like that.

You receive:

  • regular progress updates
  • video clips of training
  • clear explanations of what we’re working on
  • insight into your dog’s mindset and progress
  • Lessons during your dogs program to keep you involved

You won’t be guessing. You’ll understand exactly what your dog is learning.

Owner Lessons Are Built Into the Program

Puppy training only works long term if owners understand what to do at home.

During your puppy’s program, we include lessons so you learn how to:

  • reinforce calm behavior
  • prevent bad habits from forming
  • introduce structure without pressure
  • handle adolescence when it hits

You don’t just pick up a trained puppy.
You understand how your puppy learns.

That’s what makes progress stick.
