Let us create a solid foundation for your dog

Board and Train for Bay Area

A board and train is a great way for your dog to receive comprehensive training to learn new skills or correct any unwanted behavior. By boarding your dog for their training, they have an opportunity to become fully immersed in the training process. Our professional trainers help your dog put in the repetitions to create lasting behaviors and skills.

Throughout your dog’s stay, our trainers will build upon each skill, starting with an “off switch” and building up to challenges inside and outside the facility through our communication system. We offer board and train for basic obedience, intensive training, and puppies at our location in California.

We can address a variety of issues and desired skills depending on your dog’s personality and needs. Here are some of the goals we can work on achieving with your dog:

  • Human and dog socialization
  • Basic obedience training including commands such as “sit”, “stay”, and “down”
  • Behavioral issues, manners
  • Behaving appropriately in unfamiliar situations, like in public or around other animals
  • Off leash recalls, walking off leash
  • Off switch on place
  • Implied stay, meaning your dog remains in command until you say they can release

Private Dog Training Lessons

With private dog training, you will receive lessons that are tailored to you and your dog. Private lessons give you hands-on involvement with your dog’s training so you can easily continue working on it at home.

Our experienced dog trainers in the Bay Area will teach your pet new skills, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to continue their training at home. Our dog training lessons will be more successful if you continue to reinforce the skills your dog learns with us on your own.

Private training prioritizes your needs, as well as your dog’s stamina and obedience level. Our trainers will start the lessons once a week, then change the frequency of the lessons depending on how well your dog is learning and what would help improve their learning.

Competitive Obedience Training

If you enjoy exercise and sports, why wouldn’t your four-legged friend? Obedience sports are a fun hobby for you and a great way to exercise your dog mentally and physically. At Back to Balance Canine, we offer training for sports like AKC Obedience, French Ring, and PSA to begin the road to competition.

Competitive obedience dog training is also great if you want your dog to have a higher level of obedience than what is offered in our standard training. Depending on your dog’s level of stamina and drive, lessons will be about 30 – 45 minutes long. Our lead trainer, Dallas, will build your dog’s endurance and teach you ways to push them to new limits.

Graduated Group Classes

We offer group training sessions as a refresher lesson for all dogs who have graduated from one of our training programs. Your dog’s obedience and skills will have more longevity if you continuously work on them after attending one of our dog training programs. A refresher course is a great time to challenge what your dog has learned.

Refresher group dog training classes keep your dog’s skills sharp, and they are a great opportunity to practice what they have learned in a new environment with distractions. You can also use the group training as a time to ask the trainer any questions you have about continuing your dog’s training.
